Our Passion
At Smokerise, we have a deep love and passion for all animals. We are dedicated to creating a positive impact in the pet industry not harming it. I have always had cats; many, many throughout the years. It was always a dream to have a maine coon. So, when the opportunity came to get one, we took it and here we are now breeding them! They are such an awesome breed!
Our Goals
Our goals at Smokerise is to breed healthy, beautiful, loving & socialized kittens according to the Maine Coon standard. All of our cats are DNA, heart, & hip tested. We have carefully selected each of our cats. We love the European style which have prominent ear tufts & big fluffy tails. We spend a great amount of time with them to make sure they are fully socialized with us and around dogs.
About Me
Hi! My name is Tori. I grew up around cats, dogs, birds, ducks, fish you name it we had it at one time or another. But always a constant have been cats. My family always rescued stray cats and dogs. I never thought that I would one day be a breeder. I always believed in rescuing the ones who needed it and still do! However, I have always loved Maine Coons & finally got one! That one quickly became two, and so on....you get the point! I don't believe in puppy or kitty mills or backyard breeders, who just do this for the money pumping out kittens one after the other and keeping their cats in cages all the time. But I do want to be an ethical breeder whom adds to the breed and guarantees that these cats are loved and cared for to the best of my ability.
Before this current journey began, I was a cake decorator and Bakery manager for over 10 years. However, life changes and I had to turn into a full-time caregiver to my mom with Alzheimer's. This gave me the time to change my job title to breeder. Where I can give my full attention to my two-legged & four-legged family.
